MSSS Blind Mate Connectors
Micro-Mode blind mate interconnect systems, such as the proprietary MSSS series, have been designed to accommodate the large radial and axial misalignment tolerances required by high density modular packaging. For packaging applications with large numbers of interconnections, module alignment can present problems with assembly forces, maintenance of electrical performance, and reliability after repeated mating cycles. Micro-Mode's MSSS design concept utilizes a 3-piece interconnect system, which offers greater tolerance than rigid 2-piece designs. The flexibility of the Micro-Mode design eliminates many of the misalignment problems, while maintaining high performance characteristics.
