MSSP (SMPM) Blind Mate Connectors
Micro-Mode blind mate interconnect systems, such as the SMPM series, have been designed to accommodate the large radial and axial misalignment tolerances required by high density modular packaging. For packaging applications with large numbers of interconnections, module alignment can present problems with assembly forces, maintenance of electrical performance, and reliability after repeated mating cycles. Micro-Mode's design concept utilizes a 3-piece interconnect system, which offers greater tolerance than rigid 2-piece designs. The flexibility of the Micro-Mode design eliminates many of the misalignment problems, while maintaining high performance characteristics.
Micro-Mode, the high quality leader in blind mate coaxial connectors, is proud to offer its SMPM line of push-on connectors. Thirty percent smaller than MMSP (SMP) blind mate connectors, the SMPM blind mate series offers versatility where larger blind mate and thread-on connectors fail. Smaller, lighter and designed utilizing air as the dielectric, SMPM push-on connectors electrically outperform the larger MMSP (SMP) series. As with all of our push-on connectors, our SMPM's are manufactured with strict tolerances to insure consistent electrical and mechanical performance every time. Manufactured in accordance with MIL-PRF-39012 and MIL-STD-348, our SMPM line is compatible with all SMPM series connectors, such as Corning Gilbert's GPPO™ line.
